Canine College offers flexible obedience and agility
training for all ages and temperaments of dogs. Whether its learning
the basic obedience commands or completing Agility exercises we follow
the principal that you get better results if you and your dog are having
fun.
We take a positive approach using reward and motivation
methods with definitely no formal marching up and down and rigid strict
teaching. Following this approach we find that dogs become focused on
their owners and motivated to do their bidding.
Jay McCartan, the principal trainer, has trained at
clubs for 26 years specialising in Agility training for 10 years. She
competes at Kennel Club Agility with her 2 young kelpies who are grade
3 and 5 and is also a Kennel Club Agility Judge. In addition Jay has
experience with Rescue and high drive dogs.
Canine
College is based in the village of Old Brampton on the outskirts of
Chesterfield, about 12 miles from jct 29 M1.
We
have sole use of a large
fenced grass training area and can provide training for private or group
sessions at times that suit the client rather than set times and days.
